From the Ashes, There Can Be Beauty

My name is Michael Junker. I’m the man behind The Latter Rain Ministry — and this is my story. No polish, no hype. Just the truth about what God did with a man who spent years trying to fit in.

The Biggest Mistake of My Life

If I’m going to be straight with you — and that’s the only way I know how to be — the biggest mistake of my life was trying to fit in. I gave up what I really believed, and still believe, just to blend in with the crowd. It cost me more than I can put into words. But here’s the other side of that story, and it’s the whole reason this site exists: from the ashes, there can be beauty. God took the wreckage of my choices and made something good out of it. I know, because He did it with me.

The Sword and the Dream

Before I gave my life to Christ, I was deep into martial arts. I trained in iaido — the Japanese sword — and aikido, and I’ll be honest with you: I was a natural at it. It was my identity. Then God gave me a powerful dream, and everything changed. When I came to Him, He made me lay it all down. I walked away from the sword and the mat, and I never went back. Some things you don’t negotiate with God — you just obey.

Why This Ministry Exists

The Latter Rain Ministry exists for one reason: to dig into the Hebrew roots of Christianity. Here we look at the Word, we look at history, and sometimes we look at current events — and we measure all of it against Scripture. No hype. No excuses. Just honest, straight talk about what the Bible actually says and what it means for your life.

Come and See for Yourself

This site isn’t for everyone, and I won’t pretend otherwise. But if you’re here, then I believe someone — or Something — brought you here. So explore. Read the teachings. And if anything here helps your life and your walk with God, then I’ve done my job.
